Betfred League One Preview | Round Four

Betfred League One Preview | Round Four

Cornwall will kick-off Round Four of Betfred League One, when London Skolars will make the trip to the Memorial Ground.

Both sides are yet to register a league victory, with Skolars losing their open three matches, meanwhile Cornwall have only played one game.

Skolars will be looking for a repeat of last year, as they completed the double on Cornwall. The first of which was a close 24-20 success in Cornwall for the capital side in Round 10.

North Wales will also be searching for their first win when Oldham travel across the border.

Crusaders have lost their three league matches; however, they have beaten the Royal Navy and Thatto Heath Crusaders in the Challenge Cup.

North Wales won both their meetings last year against Oldham.

Rob Massam has been prolific against Oldham. Massam has scored four tries in his last three appearances against the Roughyeds.

Oldham were beaten late in the Challenge Cup away at Doncaster, but they had impressed previously with a 62-18 hammering of London Skolars.

Jordan Paga scored four tries during the Round Two success.

Matty Wilkinson is just one appearance away from 100 in his career. Wilkinson has made 61 appearances for Oldham.

Dewsbury Rams will be looking to extend their 100% record as they travel to Rochdale on Sunday afternoon.

The Rams produced a huge victory against Workington Town last Sunday, in a fixture which was shown live on The Sportsman.

Perry Whiteley scored twice as the Rams left Cumbria with a 25-6 success.

Liam Finn’s side will be hoping their good run of form will continue.

Dewsbury have won their three previous meetings which Rochdale, including the 38-18 Challenge Cup Third Round contest just two weeks ago. Brad Graham scored a hat-trick as the Rams progressed into Round Four.

Rochdale will be searching for their second victory in Betfred League One.

The Hornets welcomed Doncaster in Round Two and were narrowly beaten 20-10.

Since then, Rochdale have followed up with a 32-24 away success at Midlands Hurricanes.

Andy Clarke scored twice on that occasion, as well as a try by former Hurricanes man, AJ Boardman also crossed.

The final match of the weekend will see Midlands Hurricanes welcome Workington Town to the Alexander Stadium.

Midlands got off to a perfect start, as they comfortably defeated Cornwall 40-6 victory.

Since then, the Hurricanes have lost two matches. First an away match at Dewsbury, before losing a close match at home against Rochdale.

Midlands have lost their previous two meetings with Workington Town.

Workington will be looking to bounce back after suffering a home defeat to Dewsbury last Sunday.

Town kicked off the season as they travelled to the capital to face London Skolars in Round One.

Workington showed no mercy as they defeated the southern side 58-16.

Jason Mossop could make his 350th career appearance. Mossop has made 232 appearances for Workington.
